Sacramento Kings – Brooklyn Nets 21 January Prediction
Two teams looking to make the playoffs for the first time in a long time (2015 for Brooklyn, 2006 for Sacramento) hook up for an afternoon matinee on Martin Luther King Jr. Day Monday in Brooklyn. The Sacramento Kings and the Brooklyn Nets are both hovering around the .500 mark this year, which puts the Nets sixth in the Eastern Conference and the Kings tenth out west.
Sacramento has been a revelation this season, ranking among the top scoring and top three-point shooting teams in the NBA. Young stars Buddy Hield and DeAaron Fox are leading the way for the Kings this season. However, at 9-12 they are a better home team than a road one.
Brooklyn are also having a surprisingly good year, despite leading scorer Caris LeVert being out 32 games and counting after dislocating his right foot. D’Angelo Russell and Spencer Dinwiddie are stepping it up in his absence. The Nets are only 12-11 at home this year, but have won six of their last ten games (home and away).
