Oklahoma City Thunder – New York Knicks January 21 Prediction
The Knicks lost season continues with a lunch date with the Thunder on Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday. The Knicks have had a miserable season (not surprisingly) so far this year, while Oklahoma City has been clicking.
It’s not a surprise that the Knicks are dragging along with a 10-24 record this year – they’ve been without franchise star Kristaps Porzingis all season while he continues to rehab his knee injury. They’ve been especially bad as of late, going 1-9 over their last 10, including losing their last five game. And home cooking at MSG hasn’t helped much – they are only 4-14 on their home court.
OKC’s two-headed monster of Russell Westbrook and Paul George have been eating up the competition this season, propelling the team into the third playoff spot in the uber-competitive Western Conference. They are currently cruising along with a 26-18 record, and are outscoring their opponents by an average of five points a night. The good news for the Knicks is they’re mediocre on the road (12-11) and are only 4-6 over their last 10 games.
The Thunder crushed the Knicks by 25 points in the teams’ only other meeting this season.
